Both Brains Named Finalist for Excellence in Customer Experience at the 2026 Auckland Business Award

We are incredibly proud to share that Both Brains has been named a finalist in the Excellence in Customer Experience category at the 2026 Auckland Business Awards.

As a technology company, this recognition means a great deal to us because it celebrates something that has always mattered more than the technology itself: people.

While our day-to-day work involves IT support, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, AI and digital transformation, our success has never been built on technical expertise alone. It has been built on relationships. Since day one, we've focused on helping businesses feel confident, supported and understood when it comes to technology.

"Auckland is where the Both Brains journey began. It's where we secured our first office, welcomed our first clients and started building the business we have today. While we now support organisations across New Zealand and Australia, Auckland remains a huge part of our story.

Being recognised as a finalist in Customer Experience feels like a full-circle moment because customer relationships have always been at the heart of what we do. We're proud of the technology solutions we deliver, but we're even prouder of the trust our clients place in us every day."

Ryan Howard, Founder and Managing Director, Both Brains

Customer Experience Is not a department

At Both Brains, customer experience is not something owned by a single team or measured through a single metric. It is the foundation on which the business was built.

Our approach is guided by four core principles:

  • Partnership
  • Empathy
  • Clarity
  • Excellence

These principles help shape every interaction we have with clients, whether we're responding to a support request, delivering a major project, helping a business recover from a cybersecurity incident or simply answering a question.

We believe technology should make life easier, not more complicated.

That means speaking in plain English rather than technical jargon, taking the time to understand each organisation's goals, and acting as a trusted partner rather than simply a supplier.

Building Long-Term Partnerships

One of the things we are most proud of is the longevity of our client relationships. In a world where changing service providers is increasingly common, we have built our business by focusing on trust, consistency and genuine partnership. Our goal has always been to become an extension of our clients' teams, helping them navigate change, plan for growth and make better technology decisions over the long term.

This philosophy has helped us grow from a small IT services provider into a business supporting hundreds of organisations across New Zealand. Along the way, we've been fortunate to work with businesses of all sizes, across a wide range of industries, each with their own unique challenges and goals.

Thank You

To our clients, thank you for trusting us with your businesses, your technology and often your biggest challenges. To our team, thank you for the care, professionalism and passion you bring every day.

And to the Auckland Business Awards judges, thank you for recognising the importance of customer experience in an industry that is often viewed through a purely technical lens!

We are proud to be recognised alongside some of Auckland's best businesses and look forward to celebrating with our fellow finalists. No matter the outcome, we remain committed to the same goal that has guided us since the beginning: helping people get the most from technology through great relationships, practical advice and exceptional service
